Baron Bassett Roofing currently uses Shalex Sealit to waterproof cement tiles. We are doing this with a great deal of success.

We first used Sealit, as it is now known, in 1974 and have enjoyed many improvements to Sealit since.

We have tried many other products over this time, in our effort to be the best in our field, all failing to match Sealit's performance.

Dear Sir,

        I am writing to let you know how pleased we are with the result of using Sealit on our corrugated fibro roof.

        When we first purchased our house three years ago, the roof was leaking and water came through into each room whenever heavy rain fell.

        The roof was black from mould and dirt and it was washed down with a high pressure water jet. It was then given a coat of white Dulux Timber Colour with Sealit added at a ratio of four to one, then a second coat of the same. The fibro gutters were also cleaned out and given two coats of Sealit.

        We have noticed that no rain water has come through since, and no further mould has been noticed on the roof.

It gives Queensland Central Bricks much pleasure to let you know how pleased our company is with the performance of Multipurpose Sealit to stop water penetration through single leaf 150 wide clay block wall construction. In all areas Multipurpose Sealit is performing to a very high standard and we highly recommend this product to the building industry.

Queensland Central Bricks in our research and development program have used the Shalex Membrane as a damp proof course where a rebated slab is required at the base of the clay block external walls. We found the membrane was easily applied to the rebated area, form which reinforcing bars were protruding. This method of damp proof course is very practical we are sure this product will meet the required standards.
